spring themes

the ten-minute format is allowing me to experiment with colors that i love, but don't usually use in my art. my work is usually dark and intense. i'm liking these lively colors. the insects are old science flash cards -- perfect for a spring theme.

why ten minutes?

ten-minute collages are just that. collages done in ten minutes. i can't take credit for coming up with the idea -- but i don't remember where it came from, either.

ten-minute collages are a great way to stay loose, look at the world a little differently, experiment without great investment.

really they are just another excuse to play with paper.
